Foley’s - Gent - Belgium

With leprechauns as old school friends it’s hard to forget St. Patrick’s Day.  Vlissingen was not a very exciting place to celebrate so I wandered to the nearby Belgian city of Gent.  It’s a lovely place with lots of old gthic buildings.  A bit gray for someone of my background, but I think I’ll make this place my home.  And what luck! An Irish pub called Foley’s where I could meet up with my friends for a brew.  Now this is a party!

Vlissingen - the Netherlands

Today I decided to give up my frontlawn existence. I’m not getting any younger, and it’s time for me to see some the world. For my very first adventure I decided to go to Vlissingen in the Netherlands, a lovely seaside town complete with pirates, fresh fish, little shops, and nice views; I even got to play on a real cannon! Bit of a shame that the town dies at 6 on a Saturday evening - except for the tumbleweed and seagulls. Guess I’ll have to go elsewhere for my first party.
